If you’re lamenting the bygone era of big displacement and manual transmissions, then this 2010 Audi A4 Avant may be just the thing you’ve been waiting for. Not only has it had a manual transmission swap, but it’s also got an Audi 4.2 V8.
The idea of a B8 V8 wasn’t entirely lost on Audi. The S5 had one when it launched, though switched to the supercharged 3.0 TFSI when the S5 got its mid-lifecycle refresh. Not so the A4 or Q5. These B8 variants went straight to the 3.0 TFSI and never got the V8 short of the RS 4 Avant that never made it to America.
All that said, S5s weren’t exactly rare so it was probably only a matter of time before a swap such as this popped up. This one’s outside Omaha and it features red leather interior. Check it out over on Facebook marketplace HERE.
